Curriculum Leader English

3MU 

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Curriculum Leader of English with a passion for teaching and a sound knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and NCEA at all levels.

The successful candidate must be future focused and able to work in a collaborative team environment and responsible for the English Department. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader to further shape and develop this already well-functioning department.  Involvement in extracurricular activities will be expected.

Applicants must be supportive of the Catholic character of the college.

Teacher Aide

Marist College is looking to employ a Teacher Aide for a Fixed Term Position for Terms 3 and 4 of 2022. 25 hours per week, term time only.  15 hours dedicated to Teacher Aide, 10 hours dedicated to a STAR role.
  
To work with young women in the spirit of Mary and collaboratively with a motivated and efficient team of Teacher Aides. 
  • Work with students in small groups or individually. 
  • Keep class notes in to share with student.  
  • Share resource materials 
  • Work online with students during a lockdown providing 1 to 1 or group support.  
  • Offer Reader/Writer opportunities for end of topic testing. 
  • Listen and respond to teachers’ concerns and work collegially to find a solution.  
  • Help identify students of concern.  
  • Encourage students, model behaviours, give clarity of instructions, break down tasks, and help the students with getting started.   
  • Complete administration for our STAR programmes.
